I began my career as an attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice before joining the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law. There I spent nearly a decade launching new and collaborative career-related initiatives and coaching hundreds of law students and lawyers as they navigated their careers. I then served as Senior Counsel to Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, where I worked on health, housing, election, and criminal justice matters; assisted in the judicial nomination and vetting process; helped launch the state’s first parental leave program; and guided the office on ethics laws and policies. I consult for a variety of leading law schools—including UC Berkeley, Washington University in St. Louis, and Arizona State University—providing career coaching and strategic program design.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and my law degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law.
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, I serve on the board of the Phoenix Legal Action Network, a movement-lawyering organization advancing immigrant justice in the local community.
